Welcome to a workshop about course development within the PROMPT framework!

Description
In January 2015, the first four courses within the PROMPT project are starting. At the same time, we start working on further course development and the next step in the project. Now we are scouting for persons who want to spend time and energy on course development during 2015-2017.
Challenge
The challenge is to develop new courses, or to further develop existing courses; in cooperation with industrial partners and in a flexible format which suits students working in industry. Most probably, a lot of the course content will be web based, with recorded lectures, quizzes etc.
Benefits
In the present stage of PROMPT, we fund 1020 hours course development for a 7,5 credit course, which is considerable more than is normally given. All material produced for a PROMPT course can be re-used in other courses and also in contract education. For IDT, PROMPT means that we get extra funding to improve courses and course material.
Who should come?
Everyone at IDT/ES who is interested in discussing course development for web based learning, targeting an industrial audience.

Background
The PROMPT project (Professional Master’s Education in Software Development) is a cooperation project between academia and industry with the aim of strengthening competitiveness in Swedish companies. The project is funded by the KK foundation. PROMPT is aiming at establishing a national education alternative with the aim of guaranteeing the supply of software-related advanced skills and innovative power for Swedish private enterprise. The courses are given in cooperation with the Blekinge Institute of Technology, Chalmers, the University of Gothenburg, Mälardalen University and SICS.
