Ivan Tomasic, Associate Professor
Ivan Tomasic received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, in 1999 and 2013, respectively. Since December 2013, he has been with the School of Innovation, Design and Engineering at Mälardalen University.
His research interests include biomedical engineering, electrocardiography, remote health monitoring, measurement and sensor technology, applied statistical analysis, cloud-based data storage and analysis, and intelligent industrial systems. He has participated in and led scientific projects in these areas as a researcher and principal investigator.
He teaches and leads courses at both bachelor’s and master’s levels in measurement and sensor technology, signals and systems, statistical analysis, and dependable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems. Before joining Mälardalen University, he worked as a research engineer and consultant for ABB and Siemens and conducted research at the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb and the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana.
