Ivan Tomasic, Associate Professor
Ivan Tomasic received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, in 1999 and 2013. From December 2013, he joined Mälardalen University, School of Innovation, Design and Engineering (IDT), conducting research in remote health monitoring, industrial intelligent systems and biomedical engineering (with focus on electrocardiography).
In addition to research, he is teaching and leading courses on both bachelor and master's level related to measurement and sensor technologies, signal and systems theory and practice, statistical analysis, as well as courses related to dependable, reliable and fault-tolerant systems.
Before joining Mälardalen University, from 1999 he worked as a research engineer and as a consultant for ABB and Siemens companies. From 2007 he was with the Ruđer Bošković Institute, Zagreb, Croatia. In 2009 he continued his research at Jožef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
He has been a researcher, principal investigator and leading scientific projects regarding remote health monitoring, body wireless sensors, electrocardiography, cloud computing, and industrial intelligent systems.
