On-board automotive electronic systems present a special problem formulation within in the domain of embedded systems in terms of reliability, cost, safety, and maintenance. At the same time, automotive industry faces challenges related to incleasingly complex systems. This project aims at providing guidance for analysing the business needs for a given organisation and providing guidance for design of architecture, selection of technology and methods for designing automotive on-board electronics. Especially, architectural and technical solutions for integration of electronic components will be addressed by a series of studies in automotive industry.
