The WCS group focuses on wireless communication systems, with a special emphasis on connected and wirelessly collaborating embedded systems. Our mission is to advance and transform cutting-edge research on wireless communications into impact technologies that empower next-generation systems of collaborating embedded systems. Through interaction with MDU research groups working on different aspects of embedded systems, we aim to wirelessly connect different parts of and/or enable collaboration between mission critical embedded systems. By co-production with industry, we can bridge the gap between vanilla 6G solutions and tailored isolated solutions for application specific embedded systems. Example applications include cooperating autonomous vehicles, connected smart areas for situation awareness, safe and reliable platooning and secure platforms for wirelessly connected system of systems.
