Since the beginning of 2014, Ayhan Mehmed is involved in the European Industrial Doctorate Programme - RetNet. Thanks to that programme, he is:
- Industrial Ph.D. student at the School of Innovation, Design and Engineering at Mälardalen University, Sweden,
- Employed at TTTech, Computertechnik AG in Vienna, Austria as a Marie Curie researcher.
He has bachelor and master degree in "Automation and Computer Based Control Systems", from Technical University of Varna, Bulgaria. Where in both cases, the final degree projects were written abroad, through student exchange programme at:
- University of Ljubljana, Slovenia on topic "Video Surveillance with BeagleBoard".
- Széchenyi István University, Győr, Hungary on topic "3-D Virtual Reality Based Control".
Ayhan's research is focused on safety and reliability improvement of vision-based ADAS.
