Apala Ray holds a PhD degree in the area of security for industrial communication networks from Mälardalen University, Sweden (2017) and received her M.Tech in Information Technology specialized in Networking and Communication (2008) from International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore, India. She is working at ABB Corporate Research Center since 2008 in the area of wireless technologies (802.15.4 and 802.11) and communication security. Her overall responsibility include research proposals, investigation of research & technology feasibility, analysis of technological solutions for next generation product development in the area of process and power automation.
