Johan Åkerberg, Adjunct Professor


Johan Åkerberg is a project manager and member of the management team at Addiva Elektronik AB, and an adjunct professor in data communication at Mälardalen University in Sweden. Johan Åkerberg received his MSc and PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Mälardalen University, Sweden. He is mainly working with communication for embedded real-time systems in industrial automation. He has more than 25 years of experience in various local or global positions such as R&D project manager, industrial communication specialist, product manager and research area coordinator. Dr Åkerberg holds several patents in the area of wired/wireless industrial automation and is author or co-author of numerous scientific publications in refereed conferences and journals.

Johan Åkerbergs current research interests are within the area of communication for embedded real-time systems in industrial applications.
