Inmaculada Ayala is a post-doctoral research fellow of the Division of Software Engineering of IDT. Previously, she has worked as researcher in the University of Málaga in Spain.
She obtained her Master Degree on Computer Engineering by the University of Málaga in 2009. In the same institution, she obtained her PhD in Computer Science in 2013 with the thesis "Model Driven Development of Agents for Ambient Intelligence". For this work , she obtained the "Outstanding PhD Thesis Dissertation Award" in 2015.
Her research focuses on the development of applications in ubiquitous environments such as Ambient Intelligence or the Internet of Things. With this goal, she has explored several software engineering techniques such as Aspect-Oriented Software Development, Software Agents, Model Driven Engineering and Self-Adaptive Systems. Recently, her research interest focuses on Variability Modeling.
