Mia Folke, Professor

Mia is professor in health engineering. Her research interest is physiological measurements, both new measurement methods and sensor systems. She studied to Biomedical analyst in Örebro 1988 to 1990 followed by employment as Biomedical analyst at the hospital in Skövde and later at the Swedish Air Force in Stockholm and at the hospital in Eskilstuna. She studied Engineering at Mälardalen University between 1996 and 1999 in parallel with part-time employment at the Swedish Air Force, followed by PhD studies, completed nov 2005. She teaches nurses in biomedical engineering in courses that she has developed based on a combination of theory and clinical practice.
