Robbert is an associated senior lecturer (bitr. lektor) at Mälardalen University since July 2023. He received his PhD degree from Mälardalen University in December 2022. He received his master degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2016.
His research area is industrial application of model-based development. His research interests include continuous model-based development, consistency management, and software evolution.
Robbert is teaching in the courses:
Robberts research is in software engineering, in particular in studies in close collaboration with industrial partners, for example through the software center initiative.
Specifically, we are interested in balancing the gains and efforts for modeling in systems and software engineering. How much (or how little) modeling do we need for a particular benefit? And how can we lower the initial barrier to modeling, providing early automated analysis even for not so great models? A consequent interest is how to evolve such early modeling settings to mature ones, in which many models are used and could be connected; how can we benefit most from doing so? What is needed to allow collaboration in modeling across domains? In summary, we aim to support flexible and continuous model-based software and systems engineering in complex industrial settings.
